Jeffrey Hudson (1619-82), English court dwarf

I'm still in Oakham today for the British Bird fair (on nearby Rutland Water). Close to my Inn (well, it felt more like an Inn than a Hotel!) I found the house of Jeffrey Hudson; styled (see blue plaque) the house of the smallest man in England's smallest county (Rutland). The county motto of Rutland is multum in parvum, and this is perhaps a good example of the parvum. Hudson himself led a full and fascinating life, full of mayhem and adventure. You can read more about this exploits here.
