Yes!
For over two decades I have passed this old tree which was fenced amid what appeared to be basically concrete rubble and trash. Now I see it has been included in the new little park by the intracoastal bridge, which is turning out to be one of the more friendly places to go in town. It is not a commercial enterprise, and it isn't all spread out like the beach, so people are actually talking to one another, but that wasn't my point...the thing I am also so excited about is that the tree I've worried over for so long, hoping it would not be cut down...is now being tended to and treated with a bit of the respect it deserves. We don't have a lot of old growth trees in many areas of Florida due to hurricanes.
I can't wait to go give it a big hug, after mentally hugging it for so long.
