Equality
A statue between the courthouse buildings at Toronto.
It depicts a lion and a lamb in a scale and its inscription reads:
"Every individual is equal before and under the law and has an equal right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination".
An ideal not always achieved. I've witnessed a few lamb flambees. But it is an ideal that still matters very much to me.
I was in court this morning, without such a lofty ambition as it was a consent judgment in a money dispute. It went as planned. My lamb shall eat.
