You need a ticket

They are really "sorting" Blackpool these days.

There have been many improvements made to the sea front.

The Imperial Hotel has scaffolding along its front right now for some refurbishing work to be done.

And The Tower has had its original facade unearthed from whatever was covering it, revealing the beautiful stone work.

So feeling good about Blackpool what better place to blip than the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom?

My positivity was somewhat reduced by the "jobsworth" assistant who wanted my ticket for the ballroom.....

Explaining that I merely wanted 1 photo he repeated that I needed a ticket.....

On the basis that this could go on all day I simply took the shot and left.

I couldn't leave it there. To my mind the easiest answer the assistant could gave given was "Yes, but make it quick".

The confrontation was unnecessary, and my have deterred a visitor to Blackpool from returning, or recommending The Tower.

This would be a shame, so I had a word with a manager who agreed it would be better for people to record positive experiences of Blackpool Tower.

Unfortunately he wasn't in full agreement that this is the most iconic ballroom in the world. He may be right, I may be wrong.
But he works there so he should be more biased than me☺

So ladies and gentlemen I give you The Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Probably the greatest ballroom in the world.
