duck pond

Today is my full day off with Eve and it was so strange for both of us not to share at least part of it with Mum. But we did get to see E, J and E for lunch (they treated us to Mettricks goodies and chocolate cake) and later Ju and Vic joined us for Mexican Monday. Andrew briefly got in on the act via FaceTime too.

As the weather was changeable to say the least, we spent much of the day indoors and Eve impressed me with her never ending ideas for games. In this pic she's creating our very own duck pond in the sink. I managed to avoid feeding them bread by suggesting we save the bread for the ducks in the park who get much more hungry on account of the cold.

Grandad suggested this evening that Eve's prayers would make a good book. Tonight's offering was "thank you Jesus for Nanny Grandad, thank you for Grandad. Thank you Jesus for Eve's grandma, Eve's grandma is died and Eve is sad but Eve likes bumble bees. Thank you for Eve's bumble bee." I wasn't aware Eve had a bumble bee and I am now wondering where on earth she keeps it.
