Anniversary walk
A year ago today, Tim and I got married on the summit of Ben Nevis, in the midst of cloud and driving rain. Today we went for a lovely sunny walk in the Kent countryside to celebrate our anniversary. I wouldn't change our wedding day for the world, but was quite glad not to recreate the conditions today!
We were excited to see this lavender field again, having last seen it when the plants were very young and pre-flowering - although unfortunately it had already been harvested last month. They seemed to have missed a couple of rows though, so we still got to see some of the colour - and smell the beautiful scent.
We stopped for a quick coffee/hot chocolate in the cafe at Ightham Mote after our walk, then headed back home for a nice restful afternoon, before going to Khan's for dinner. Another perfect day :)
