Licenced to Cake

Cheeseminer, 3rd Dan in Shotokan karate as of tonight. Yay!

It's not uncommon to mark achievements with a round of cakes at work. I seem to be doing that a lot recently.

In our association the first black belt grading is pure physical demonstration. For the next couple it's a mixture of demonstration and teaching; testing the ability to manage the flow, demonstrate, spot and correct mistakes others are making, and so on. Give me a physical test any day, especially after 12 weeks of running the group under the critical eye of the Renshi.

He's adamant I should set up a small group in Malvern (doesn't seem to be anything there currently - "Malvern Karate" meets in Liverpool !??!). We'll see what evolves, but it makes some sense to keep the practice up now.
