Lovely relaxing day in London today began with hairdressers in East London. Had sudden wave of being completely uncool as I sat in what has to be the trendiest hairdresser's in London surrounded by edgy super stylish folk while I sat dressed in country casuals with my Cath Kitson accessories.
Hairdressers was followed by a delightful wander around Broadway market where I took in the sights and smells of all the amazing foods on offer. After much indecisiveness I plumbed for a mushroom, cheese and ham Galette - a crepe to me and you although I discovered that a crepe is in fact a Galette if it contains savoury ingredients, you learn something new every day!
Lunch was followed by shopping in Brick Lane. Bex gave me first lesson in vintage shopping and after much rummaging I found myself a lovely pair of black boots. Can't help wondering who walked in them before me and what sort of journey they took them on. I suspect that they're new journey won't be as exciting but perhaps these old boots will enjoy a nice relaxing retirement to the country.
Also purchased a totally gorgeous 'cloud' dress that was reduced by a million percent and is going to be my favourite summer dress for 2010.
Took lots of photos around town, thought this one stood out as being totally different to anything you would see in Woodbridge.
Enjoyed my day in London so much but very happy to be home with my gorgeous husband and beautiful children.
