Toys for boys

Seen in Sayward, on the way to Campbell River. We were looking for a quiet place to have a short break and eat our sandwiches. Well, we found a good place, not quiet at all but with a view and programme better than on TV.

I don't know the details, but it seemed to be a place where logs arrived by lorry and where then sorted and re-arranged for further transport on water. We saw one Caterpillar like machine, that was able to unload a full lorry with logs in one go - wow !

The pre-sorted logs were then thrown into the water and pushed by these small and extremely manoeuverable boats into the right position, forming rafts.
