Finally Fishing
Most of the family left today so Evan finally got some quiet time with Dad to go fishing. The prep took longer than the trip since we had to go back to Seven-Mile and get some poles from Uncle Louie. Louie likes to spend most of his time Up North taking apart reels and re-threading the poles. Once we got back to our cabin, Jim decided that instead of looking for the oars, he'd just assume there were none and would use the paddleboat paddle instead. Patience is a virtue he reserves for living beings. After they left I opened our front closet to get the broom. It was leaning right next to the oars. No matter though, they rowed/paddled around the island, threw some line and came back smiling though they didn't get one bite. While I waited to see their catch, Mia and Margaux - who will turn five tomorrow! - paddled in a kayak together picking water lilies. It was a lovely last day at the cabin.
