Alcafar

At some point in the past the mighty English navy (or a little part of it) landed a force of soldiers here to re-conquer the island of Menorca.

We did get about a bit didn't we? Colonies here, there and everywhere. The might of the empire and all that.

I think it's best all round if we let people run their own countries! We're making heavy weather of running one, semi detached United Kingdom.

Anyway, rambling on, which is quite hard when you are entering it all via the phone. Mahon this morning where the boys spent their holiday money from grandparents on astro turf boots and Lego! Truly Menorcan!

Swimming off the rocks at Alcafar this afternoon where the sea was quite energetic for a change. 30 degrees at 6 in the evening but time for a run to keep mind and body vaguely together.

Enjoying every minute. We are lucky and do know that.
