France Day 8 : Fontevraud

Lulabel, Mabel and I have had another lovely day of warm sunshine in which to explore more of the region.

First stop was Fontevraud, where we sat outside and people-watched over coffee before taking a closer look at the famous Abbey. On the way we passed this quaint little teashop with its 'Beware of the cat' and 'Cream teas ici' notices, obviously catering for the English-speaking tourists. The cat was in situ, although Mabel didn't notice!

After a pique-nique lunch we continued to Montsoreau on the Loire, where there was yet another magnificent chateau to be admired. I'm amazed - almost every town seems to have a castle, some of them straight out of a fairy tale!
