Opera house

Across the road from the hotel in Muscat is the Royal Opera house. It is a lovely building which looks particularly attractive at night when the lighting emphasises the arches around its windows and doors.

Attached to the opera house is a mall or, given that it is an opera house, a galleria. It is full of shops whose goods have no prices. It is unlikely I will be bothering them.

The season doesn't start for a while. Apart from a glorious evening on Verona a while back, I haven't been to opera. I can't not go while I am here.
