How to remodel your Brompton Zefal bike pump:

1. fit it into the brackets provided on the near-side rear fork; secure with cable-tie;
2. bump down a curb.

The pump will come adrift and jam itself between the fork and the wheel, pulling one spoke out of it's rim cap, allowing the wheel to warp a little: still ride-homeable.

It is quite possible that without the cable-tie (or with two cable ties) the pump might not have engaged with the wheel, but fallen free.

Take the Brompton to very nice man in Newport Pagnell (Roy Pink Cycles) who will fix the spoke and re-true the wheel for a very reasonable sum.

He couldn't mend the pump: thinking of taking it to MK Gallery to sell as a sculpture.
