Another Languedoc year...

Plus ça change

Today we found ourselves in Olargues. It's a very beautiful medieval village that clings to the hillsides above the Jaur river. After a very good lunch we visited the museum. It's a bit of a treat and was staffed today by a chap from Devon who sang Charles Trenet songs to keep us entertained. A gentle stroll past this hairdresser's shop reminded me of my Mum's salon from the late 1950s. Nothing much has changed here. My favourite film of all time is The Hairdresser's Husband - Le Mari de la Coiffeuse. It's set in a shop much like this.
