Ryder Cup

Cameron’s golf club’s Young Golfers section had a two-day competition that concluded today.

Based on the format of the Ryder Cup, this put the young golfers into two teams – USA and Europe. Over two days, they competed against each other for the honour of winning. I am pleased to say that in spite of a spirited comeback by Europe, Cameron’s team – the USA – won by three points.

Cameron himself did very well, winning his singles match by 5 & 4. Which I am reliably informed, means that he was five holes up with four to play. Well done!

Tomorrow sees school restarting – so this was a wonderful way to end the holidays. Thank you so much to Alan Bryson and everyone else at Falkirk Golf Club for organising this terrific event!
