Treasurer's House
It's our first day in York and my friend and I picked this National Trust house to visit, mainly because it was so lovely out and it looked like the house had a tranquil garden. The house itself, bought by an eccentric business owner was interesting and quirky but I loved the garden best. I enjoy the view of York Minster in the background as well. As we were relaxing on one of the benches outside we got into a conversation with a fellow traveler, a woman from America who was making a solo trip around the U.K. That's one of the most rewarding things about travelling, meeting new and interesting people...I'm really glad we decided to come to York!
