Falling water

On my way to Westport this morning for a meeting I was a bit pushed for time so I promised myself that on the way home I would stop and take photos. I promise myself this most times I drive down the Buller Gorge and then on the way home I don't have time or can't find places to pull over where I want to (you can read that as, "I'm just too darned lazy").

Today I made myself do it. This is an unnamed creek that is diverted into a culvert under the road. There are many of these on the drive through the gorge but mostly you have to drive on to find a stopping place and then walk back to them, and many of them are tucked into the bush on the side of the road and you don't register that they're even there until you've passed.
