On holiday: Flying Air New Zealand

Safely in Christchurch after a day of unexpected travel. No planes were landing or taking off in Rotorua, because of torrential rain, so at 1 p.m. 45 of us hopped on a bus and were driven to Auckland to catch a 5 p.m. flight. We were on the bus for 3 1/4 hours! Great - as I have a 7 1/2 hour trip on a bus tomorrow!! We were very quickly on an Air NZ A320, and were soon winging our way south. I captured this sunset looking out the window of the plane. Last leg of my journey tomorrow, looking forward to being home again.
