Chaise-Longue

Viewing the march of civilization!!

As I walked along the beach this afternoon I came across this abandoned chaise-longue looking back at the city. I could not help but think as I saw the concrete jungle in the background, about how we have lost our sense of style, in the quest for modernity. The female sensuousness of the curve is being increasingly replaced by the male rigidity of the straight line.
