The 'Whistle Walkers
Our friend, BJ from the USA, always calls us the 'Whistle Walkers. She walks with us when she visits the area. We will see her in the October walking festival, but, in the meantime, this image is for her.
Today the long walkers did a 12.3 mile circular from Corbridge that included 3 woods and 1000ft of ascent and descent. It didn't feel like it - it was easy walking today.
Here we are leaving our lunch spot in Letah Wood. It's a delightful mixed wood and in the Spring there are carpets of wild daffodils.
If you look at the large version you may see a number of walkers in the background and one - the group would never guess who - showing off quietly.
