Wed: Fred Would Like To Make Friends With A Kitten

K. was in the kitchen this morning when she heard Fred trilling (he doesn't miaow) away.  She came out to see him chatting to a little kitten who scampered off across the garden.  Fred speed trotted (he doesn't run) after the kitten as fast as his little legs would carry him.  They then sat on either side of the fence, looking at each other and it was quite evident that Fred wanted to be friends.  Apparently when the kitten trotted off, Fred came back in looking quite dejected.

And apparently the kitten was actually close to full grown but just look at the difference in size!
