Blipper involved in shock assault on chair!!

Cast of For Services Rendered looked on in horror as chair is brutally assaulted during tonight's rehearsal at the Dolman Theatre

Peter Bourne playing Leonard Ardsley, slammed himself down into the unsuspecting chair in preparation for the last speech in the play - an almighty cracking sound stopped the rehearsal in it's tracks.

On rising Mr Bourne discovered the seat area of the chair had completely given way.

In a statement Mr Bourne said that he had not meant to injure the chair and the damage was done by accident.

A spokesperson for the Dolman Theatre said earlier that the chair was in a critical condition in the theatre's loading bay, but would give no indication as to whether or not the chair would survive the night.
