Golden Dome

This is the dome of our State Capitol building which I have blipped before. I have been taking a walk on my morning breaks, and I liked the look of it today against a rather overcast sky.
The dome is covered with 48,000 pieces of gold leaf. Each piece of gold leaf cost $1.00 and was paid for with money raised by New Jersey school kids through the "Dimes for the Dome" program.
