In A Hurry

Watched the setting sun tonight as I waited for the expected call from my daughter. To say we made the maternity hospital in record time is an understatement. She could hardly make the car with the contractions. I put my foot to the floor for about 50 yards......and then had to stop for a hare in the road. He stayed in front of us for at least half a mile which has never happened me before!!! I switched my lights completely off as I drove in the dark at 5mph to let him escape.....but he chose to stay on the road!!!. Eventually, however, he made safe passage into a field and we were off...
The creature must have sent us off with good luck as cars, trucks and even an ambulance moved out of the way. We never hit a red traffic light in the sixteen miles to Dublin and even in the city centre only two short red lights.

My daughter is safely in now and I'd better mark my calender for future birthdays on the 21st August.... Please God....just saying
