Chris's 365 Challenge

What a day [232/365]

The day started with a phone call from Ross, who could only be described as being as excited as a boy who had been waiting for permission to run down stairs and open his Christmas presents on Christmas Day. In this phone call I was informed that I would need to meet Munro, Gavin and himself for lunch.

This was indeed the pre arranged birthday day they had organised.

From meeting for a coffee and pints in Hectors, we headed to the Scran and Scallie where I received an all expenses paid for lunch courtesy of Ross, Munro, Gavin, Elliot and Hamish which was truly amazing.

After a few more pints on the way back to Munros flat, we later enjoyed an authentic hand rolled Cuban cigar and some quality rum Munro had acquired form a customer at the White company.

As an extra surprise the guys had treated me to a live Jack Dee performance at the fringe. Despite not having our problems solved at the show it was an excellent night and I can't thank the lads enough.

From there we headed back to Hectors for Mr Curries leaving drinks where I had the chance to catch up with some former teachers.

Keen to continue the night we headed to the Underbelly where Ross and myself managed to haggle a set if tickets for Hot Dub Time Machine before realising how sober we were and subsequently sold them on for double the price.

Had an amazing day and thanks to the guys for chipping in and making it worth while.
