Water Wednesday - (Un)welcome ripples

Water Wednesday in chandler63's August Challenge.

I arrived at Chiswick Park with the early morning sun in the sky, no wind and a mirror like surface on the upper part of the lake. The light was very contrasty though, so it was difficult to get a good exposure with the light coloured buildings in the background reflecting the sunlight, and the darker shaded area on the lake.

Then these ducks swam across, in a nice line, creating ripples everywhere. The water wasn't going to be that still again for a while, and I just caught the ducks before the lead one went out of shot. I couldn't wait for the water to become still again (if it ever would now things were waking up), so this was the best of the bunch, even though it had ripples.
