Buxton Moss
Today I went up to Buxton to pick up an 'executive' desk from a DIY store as my local store did not have one in stock.
We decided to make a day of it and so I grabbed my camera and off we went. I was going to blip about the free source of Buxton Water in the town, but preferred this image.
On a cold, grey day, I was struck by the vivid greens of the moss of the tree. The Victorian urn gives it a look of old classical grandeur now in decay, and being slowly being reclaimed by nature. A bit like Buxton generally.
So, next time you visit Buxton, the water fountain is opposite The Crescent. Just remember to bring an empty bottle. I never do.
