Rodney Street Liverpool

The first house was built here in 1783/4. Many of the premises on this street are now used by medical practitioners, consultants etc. Midway down this block is the house were William Gladstone was born in 1809, he was Prime Minister on four separate occasions and was a politician for sixty years. He was known as "The People's William".
I wonder what he would think of todays political scene?
