White topped peaks

This shot is taken from the village square on my walk to work. Winter seems to be thinking about starting early looking at the snow on the nearby peaks. This is the time of year to get work done which can't be done in the winter and the time frame is short. The village is putting in a new ski lift for the winter - it's not ready yet though!
Notice the steam coming from the house next to the local comune: the fires have started.
