Unexplored Ordnance
Tonight's weekly walk across Forvie Nature Reserve brought to an abrupt halt for an I exploded bomb had been found on the moor. This is a fairly regular occurrence for the reserve was used for training in the Second World War.
What happens is: a bomb etc is found; the local police come and stand guard which today was for hours on a cold rainy afternoon; the bomb disposal team comes, sometimes from Edinburgh but today from Faslane, near Glasgow - 4 hours. Then they blow it up and you hear a small Boof!
