Dynamic sky
A fun day - work, then the Scotsman Fringe Awards, then a trip to Our Dynamic Earth to see a Fringe show with a difference. Here's the spiel for Sonic vision from edfringe.com
Take a trip through vivid 3D graphic environments that pulsate to the rhythm of high energy music. A unique digital experience weaving individual works of music and visual arts together into a single creative vision.
Indeed. EdiSteve and I were blown away by the majesty of the graphics and the fantastic marriage of images and music. The ODE planetarium space allows the images to seem infinite, while the superb sound system, playing mostly Nineties psychedelic pop hits, gave the pics something to 'dance' to. It was like being in a kaleidoscope besieged by fractals as someone played with Spirograph and aliens tried to break through a web before we went down Doctor Who opening titles tunnels at a million miles an hour. Breathtaking - and about half the price of most fringe tickets. It's on until 30 August - don't miss it.
Oh, and the panorama shows the dramatic skies around ODE as we left. Pretty.
