Škocjan Caves

The Škocjan Caves are in south west Slovenia and the site is on the world heritage register. However more people visit the caves at Postojna as they are closer to Ljubljana. We decided on the big ticket, a guided tour of the main cave and a self-guided walk through the collapsed cave, This was excellent value and we spent 6 hours there in total, It was cool in the caves, but very hot outside. As this summer has been wetter than usual the river running through the caves is quite large. The blip was taken on the walk through the collapsed cave.
