The Dunes

We went to SAKLIKENT and trekked through the gorge, it was beautiful but quite hard going, scrambling over wet rocks and stones and wading through water and climbing up slippery slopes, I fell and bruised my cheekbone and don't make it all the way to the end but went as far as I felt able to!

Then we had lunch by a lake with ducks on it, very lazy relaxed long lunch.

Then we went to Patara beach and all swam in the sea, lots of big waves for the boys to jump in.

Then off to Patara ruins which were amazing, a massive amphitheatre in which I sang 'I will survive' to test the acoustics, a basilica with another amphitheatre inside it and lots of columns and decorative stones.

Then back to the Dunes for sunset!

Then back to the local shack for dinner round the olive tree.
