Cranes

We are leaving Tilbury Docks having just boarded the Marco Polo for a Baltic cruise.

These cranes for unloading containers are considered to be the biggest in Europe and it was here that more than 30 migrants, Sikhs from Afghanistan, were found locked in a container.

Our taxi driver told us it was their screams and shouts as they banged on the container that alerted people and the police were called.
