exploring

we arrived in Ulverston, Cumbria on Tuesday. The first time I've returned to our hometown since we left for the States three years ago. Tuesday was a busy day of travel and we've been unpacking and sorting the house since then. Our homecoming was made much easier by all the groundwork my lovely in-laws had done. The house clean, dinner ready, child-care on tap. After several days of sorting and arranging, shopping and collecting we decided this afternoon was to be for exploring. We went into the Lakes, finding a place on the shore of Lake Coniston to stop and paddle in the refreshingly 'cool' waters, followed by fish & chip dinners at a nearby cosy village pub.
