Dales Walls

The evenings are shortening, so after a a day at the office we headed out to the dales for a walk and a bite to eat whilst there remains enough light to do so.

I love the dry stone walls in the dales, they echo the land, hint at a time and a way of living that is mostly gone and yet seem more permanent than the folks and animals that are corralled by them.

Had a lovely meal in an old pub, the sound of friday night happiness marked that start of a long weekend.
