To the Rescue!

A trip to one of my favourite islands today... Herm. I just love it here as it has a really tropical feel. A walk around the island before lunch and then an afternoon on Shell Beach, which you see in this photo.

As we walked to the beach we saw the lifeboat racing to this boat. We weren't sure whether they were on a practise exercise, but it turns out the yacht had hit a rock and was taking on water, so needed to be towed back to Guernsey. James was very interested in it so we watched the whole rescue. Luckily no one was hurt... quite exciting really.
