A Lavish Day
Spent the first part of the day in the lovely town of Knaresborough. Relaxing paddleboat ride down the Nid river, then visited the Knaresborough castle ruins. Once one of the most elegant castles in the area, the castle had been reduced to a small remain of the keep and a dungeon. Jacob managed to capture a pigeon on top of the keep ruin. Also visited the old courthouse now a museum, and took a tour through an old secret tunnel built for the King to escape in times of emergency.
Returned to Harrogate and had an incredible dinner experience at the Grand Kashmiri Buffet, which proved to be one of the best Indian buffet's I have had the pleasure of visiting.
Had a lavish and rejuvenating experience at the Turkish Baths. Met a rather loud and obnoxious American woman and her daughter, as well as Bill, the incredibly friendly and personable host.
Finished the evening by visiting the Blues Café, and then the Fat Badger for a Kopparberg.
