An Avid Lensman

Old Sarum Hillfort - a New Day...

Sunday 17th August

Taken from the top of Devizes Road, looking out across, with Tamron SP 70-300mm VC. The sun itself never actually appeared, hiding behind cloud, as here, and never did actually appear at all, all day! On LARGE, you can just see a gentleman walking his dog! The last time I snapped a gentleman walking his dog just after sunrise was this Blip - one of my all time most popular and THE most favourited of all my entries on the other site I contribute to - the European one.

Huge thanks for all the Favourites, stars and comments on my Canary Wharf reflection Blip yesterday

I was a bit of a tease, with no indication where it was taken, though that would be rather more obvious to those looking LARGE and seeing the Shard, 'Gherkin' and 'Walkie Talkie' in the far distance.

I wanted the image to speak for itself and not to give bias by its location being suggested. I have to confess to having had to spend almost half an hour trying to clone out all the rubbish that had collected like plankton, then covered by a sickly scum, in the foreground.

I had gone to London on the first train and then on to Canary Wharf - the last time I had done that I blipped this very shiny black and white..

It has to be bedtime now and so I will return to all you lovely lot in the morning and look forward to catching up with your Journals then.
