The Abkhazi Garden in Victoria, based on a real love story between Peggy Pembertone and Prince Nicholas Abkhazi. Very short: Met in Paris in 1922, became just friends in loose contact, both in prison & captivity during WW2, after 13 years (in 1946) meeting in NY and decision to be together and to marry.
