The daughter and several of her school mates were invited to sit through a one-day symposium titled "Celebrating Words" held by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at my old alma mater. My old faculty was situated next to the Arts Faculty - it's since been relocated to an entirely different part of town - but I took the opportunity to have a look round the old campus whilst waiting for the girls to be done.
In my time we had rickety metal lockers and we supplied our own $2 padlocks to provide minimal security. My locker was number 088, a rather auspicious number to those who believe is such things, but unfortunately it was on the bottom tier, so chucking things in and getting thing out wasn't always an elegant affair! Nowadays the students have these spanking new affairs with spiffy combination locks - lucky them.
I tried a black and white version of this, it looks quite nice, but somewhat too literal, so I'm sticking with colour for this blip.
