Anaphalis triplinervis

The unpredictable weather has once again interrupted any chance of sorting out the garden properly!

These clever little flowers more commonly known as pearly everlasting or sommerschnee, saw the rain coming before I did. Within the space of 2 or 3 minutes they had closed up completely. (Apparently this is to protect their pollen.)

Earlier on I had snapped them in the bright sunshine, so took the opportunity for a 'before and after' shot.
