Fluff and sparkle!

As it was quite a sunny afternoon I thought I'd take myself off for a quick look around the Three Sisters park area which is literally 15 minutes away from our house, but until now I'd never been! It's a popular place for karting too, as it has it's own track and there is a meet on this weekend......we know that because we can hear them in the distance from our back garden! I was surprised to find quite a large lake with plenty of birds, a nice children's play area, a tourist information lodge, ice cream van and a nice walk around the lake! Shame on me for not having made time to visit until now! I decided on this shot of one of the young cygnets because I like it's fluffy down and how the sunlight is reflecting off the water. Hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday. The smell of meatballs, in homemade tomato sauce is wafting through from the kitchen.....just need to cook some linguine and chop a bit of basil from the herb garden and the jobs a good un as they say :-)
