Now, that's what you call a tap
We stayed at Ieper again on our way back, as it is convenient for Dunkerque and the Dover ferry. Sadly, just after tea it hosed down and we couldn't be bothered to get wet having a look at parts of the town we hadn't seen before. This magnificent tap fountain is quite close to the campsite and it makes a fine blip. We arrived at the ferry with enough time to have a quick look at Gravelines, a seaside resort to the west of the port. Not very inspiring and just like most of the north French coast. It's flat and very industrial, nuclear power stations and chemical works; Dover is a lovely place in comparison and it's a bit tatty too. We went and bagged a new Marilyn near the Channel tunnel, and watched the coming and goings at the Chunnel railyards. We then headed north and camped near Cambridge for the night.
