Borrowed Time

My other half is a keen gardener - I get to do the heavy lifting, the building & the digging - but Cat does love her garden. One of last years tasks was to put a rabbit proof fence all the way along the garden, which is over 300ft long - it took a while but the benefits were immediately noticeable - even if we did have a very unhappy husky who would sit and stare at the places the gaps in the old fence used to be - the places where her prey would arrive from.

However occasionally a rabbit will still find a way in - I think they can squeeze under the gate - and if we're just popping out then we occasionally leave the gate hooked open - and in the odd foolish bunny will hop.

Of course they're impossible to catch - we're not in the garden anywhere near as much as Pushka is - so its a waiting game. One day soon Pushka will come in and mysteriously not want her food...
