People-watching
We went over to Bath this afternoon, with the intention of doing another walk from On Foot in Bath so that we could practice our city photography in readiness for an upcoming holiday.
However, the best laid plans ... Within 10 minutes, the sky darkened, the wind got up and the heavens opened! So we nipped across a couple of roads to Northumberland Passage and went to the Coeur De Lion. Apparently, this is the only pub in the country with this name!
Hubby had a pint but I fancied a coffee ... except that they don't sell coffee. Instead, they explained that they have an arrangement with the coffee shop next door, and that I was welcome to get a coffee from there and bring it back into the pub!
The Coeur De Lion is the smallest pub in Bath (as per the sign) and the seats downstairs were all taken, but as there was an empty bench outside and a very large canopy, we decided to do a bit of people-watching.
Incidentally, the ash tray was on the table next door: unlike many people who sit outside pubs, we don't smoke.
Thank you for all the encouraging comments on yesterday's efforts. This is definitely a technique I'd like to explore further!
