bench Monday: you stole my heart away

I love my kid more than anyone or anything else on the planet. He stole my heart away the first moment I held him in my arms. However, there was also real thievery going on. The red heart-shaped box was full of delicious chocolates which I'd bought for my husband for Valentine's Day. Yesterday I couldn't figure out why my four-year-old was into a long drawn out game of hide and go seek which involved lots of sniggering and 'you can't find me, mommie'. When I tidied up in the evening I was less than chuffed to discover the box, empty apart from one heart-shaped chocolate which you can see here. No wonder my son was bouncing off the walls and ceiling yesterday.
