Our last day!

After last night's huge storm, today was perfect weather - sunny, 28C but with a slight breeze and no humidity. We decided to motor out into the bay and spend the day swimming off the boat. We discovered that there is a large sandbank in the middle of the bay where the water is very shallow, and there is a restaurant there built on wooden stilts. We dropped anchor and went to this restaurant thinking we would have a drink there but suddenly a ferry arrived with many tourists and then it did not seem such an appealing idea anymore!

We had a lovely day out in the bay, with the boys swimming and diving off the roof of the boat. As this bay is part of a delta the water is not crystal clear and so snorkelling was not good. We did see many fish swimming past and some jellyfish.

Tomorrow we pack up and go back to Barcelona airport to fly home. There have been some wonderful moments during this holiday, but we all agreed that two weeks to live on a boat is just too long. I am looking forward to having my own bathroom again and to seeing Murdoch.
