A day of confusion - The Olive Tree
Before enlightenment - chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment - chop wood, carry water. - Zen Buddhist Proverb
There has been everything else today than enlightenment. It's been a day of confusion, from the morning all day long. For no special reason. Just making everything a little fuzzy, without no need. Was it the night with the bad dreams? I have noticed that the mood of the dreams often lasts for a while after wakening.
But of course I don't know - after all I'm confused. I did not know what to blip. Should I photograph this or that? What's the point? On my way to the gym taking some desperate shots. Not good enough.
Then I remembered my olive tree in the cellar. It is there all winter and I'm watering it every month. When there is no frost in the night anymore I'll carry it up to our balcony. I have been thinking of blipping it, but there has always been something else.
So the olive tree helped me to get back on track. I'm not going to chop the wood. Only carrying water. For now.
P.S. This is my first "light painting" (no manipulation added). Thank you Joni for introducing the technique to me.
P.P.S. Joni tells his regards from Levi tunturi in Lapland. He is not able to comment your journals but when he'll get back at the end of the week he will. Joni will post his blips but the journals will be short because the writing is difficult from there with the phone.
